23

Q
<p>Well, I turned 23 yesterday. Horrible,I know. I detest birthdays they signify that one step closer to death we take each year. When I was younger I imagined how I'd be as a 23 year old stud. It was nowhere to where I am now. I'm not saying its a bad thing but it is not what I expected in part because my views have changed. When I was younger I thought at the age of 23 I would have some awesome corporate job and own a house. Yea, that couldn't be further from reality. 1, its extremely difficult to own a house right out of college. 2, I am jobless. I am only but a stud, a vision which continues to reign. Although 23 seems old, it is not. So in honor of being 23, having my youth and being full of crazy ideas. I have decided to make a bucketlist for the age of 23. The list is important because I feel as we get older we really miss out on life because we let our as hold us back as an excuse. I am going to do the opposite. Now some of my bucketlist must remain anonymous for some plans can not be achieved if the world knows them. Also some items on the list are ridiculous. I will however let you know some of my plans to take over the world.

First, I would like to run a 5k in the spring. The reason for that is I'm out of shape and I need motivation to get into shape. What better way than a 5k and I'll have time to get into shape for it. We'll see how that goes. Second, I am plotting to go back to Europe this winter tickets will be cheap and I can hopefully afford it, if I accomplish number three. Thirdly, I need to obtain a not so lame job. I figure since I want to travel I need a job. Well that's about it for now. Just needed to show the world that I have not given up hope although I am older which is weird because I am.usually quite the pessimist.

I hope spellcheck caught all my errors cause I'm not proofreading this bitch.

Will the party ever stop?

The other day a friend of mine asked me "do you think you'll ever stop?" The question is what was this friend referring to? I can simply tell you or I can make references to what this person was saying and leave the issue at hand to your imagination. Hell, I could be addicted to cocaine or even better sex. Unfortunately, I just wasted your time with those tiny scenarios because I am going to tell you that this friend of mine was referring to my "party animalness". It brings up a good question, is the party supposed to stop after you graduate? I think not.

Sure there are a lot of negative things associated with the party culture: being immature, reckless, etc. Those stereotypes should be left with underage undergraduate drinking. I believe that as you mature you can learn to party in a more respectful manner. One, in which you learn to gracefully ride a bicycle while you are completely blasted. I, in fact, can do this while riding a full grown man on the handle bars. You know graduation is not the death sentence to the party. It merely signifies that you must control the aforementioned subject. For example it is not unacceptable to get drunk on a random Monday afternoon (I learned this the hard way, I also learned that no cop expects to see a drunk driver at three in the afternoon) its just not okay anymore because after college you are held to higher standards (unfortunately). Ultimately you have to stop partying when you have a kid and even then its just a hiatus until they are old enough to partake in the grape (drink) with you. The fact that you may reproduce one day is reason enough to continue the party after you graduate because you do eventually have to stop (unless you're an alcoholic). Speaking of alcoholics, that old saying "its not alcoholism till your out of college" is kinda true so you might as well live it up while you are young and your responsibility is at an all time real world low. I think its is important to keep hold of the party you know it keeps you young by letting you let loose and get rid of the stress. I genuinely feel that if you were to stop the party you would become depressed and might endanger yourself. Why am I trying to convince people to party? It seems as if the only thing that makes me happy is alcohol (because it is). The message is clear don't stop partying cause I sure won't.

Opinion: texting while drivng

Well I decided to use this forum to speak on various issues and voice my opinion because I can. Today a verdict was handed out on a texting while driving case. A teenager was convicted of homicide because he was texting while driving. I think this is completely extreme. Its extreme because you can do a lot of things while driving that can distract your attention and cause an accident that can be potentially fatal. So why just take a stand against texting. I do not text very often while driving and if I do its short responses in fact when.I text while driving is probably safer than me eating.while driving. Today I had a milkshake and was licking the whip cream off of the top, it was worse than it sounds I was completely having a romantic make out session with this milkshake I drove a mile and could not tell you how I did it. I was distracted. It is easily as dangerous as texting while driving but is it illegal? Will I get convicted of a homicide if I get into am accident? Hell no! If the government wants to make one thing illegal while driving they might as well amke everything illegal while driving. Either way that poor kid should not have a homicide and I will never obey those stupid driving laws because I am more likely to get into an accident while checking some girl out whole driving than texting. Rant finished.
